New Mom Support Group: Finding your Inner Mama!
Being a new mom brings up many thoughts, feelings and emotions: happiness, bliss, exhaustion, anxiety, clarity, confusion and more. While turning to spouses/partners and family is a helpful way to manage this transition, no-one understands quite what you’re going through like another new mom!
babybites is thrilled to offer a series of new mom support groups focused on finding your Inner Mama. In six weekly sessions, you will come together with a small, supportive group of women to share experiences, ask questions and strengthen your identity as a mother. Take comfort in the idea that if you’re feeling something, you’re probably not alone. Most importantly, you will plant the seeds for lifelong friendships for you and your baby.
Attention: These are NOT a drop-in classes; $150 for 6 sessions; Please register early as there are only 12 spots available (these groups are often sold out). There are no refunds or credits or make-ups for missed sessions.
New moms w/ 0-6m old babies
Six weekly sessions will focus on relevant themes for new moms: being intentional about what type of mother you’d like to be, your changing identity, deciding when/if to return to working outside the home, finding childcare, dealing with sleep issues, recreating your relationship with your partner, and taking care of your mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Exact topics will be decided by the moms in the group, week to week.
This support group is facilitated by Linda Stern, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-r). Linda has worked with children and families for 16 years providing clinical family services and parenting coaching both privately and through agency work, and is a highly experienced support group moderator.

You will learn about how to help your child develop their fine-motor skills, how to foster open-ended play, self-sufficiency and imagination, and just as importantly, how to not feel like your home has been taken over by landslide of brightly colored plastic objects!

About Smart Playrooms: Smart Playrooms is a service developed by two educators, Karri Bowen-Poole and Dale Oberlander, who recognize that when children are engaged in a productive and organized play environment they learn and grow naturally. Smart Playrooms is a business dedicated to offering families and commercial spaces better solutions for their playrooms and play areas.

Whether your child is 3 months old or 30 years old, this highly specialized mat Pilates-style class focuses on form and function, while restoring the strength of the abdominal wall and pelvic floor post-pregnancy.
Participating in the class will result in a noticeably slimmer midsection within six to eight weeks.
